Cluster 5: Key enabling technology
In this cluster, fundamental, widely applicable technologies are being developed that serve as central building blocks for a wide range of autonomous systems. These include robust context-aware perception and interaction systems, multimodal sensor data fusion, explainable AI and generative models for predicting complex user behavior in real environments. The algorithms and methods developed are characterized by their high transferability and scalability and thus form essential basic capabilities for applications in the fields of medicine, mobility, Industry 4.0 and 5.0, security and beyond.
